New Delhi: Samsung unveiled the global debut of the Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Edge on Monday, May 20. Equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite chipset, this laptop marks Samsung’s pioneering venture into the realm of AI PCs, further enriching its Galaxy AI mobile ecosystem. Noteworthy is its certification as a Copilot+ PC, offering on-device AI capabilities facilitated by a 45 TOPS NPU for offline processing. Additionally, the Galaxy Book 4 Edge introduces mobile AI features like Live Translate, Chat Assist, and Circle to Search to PCs for the first time ever.

The Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Edge starts at $1,349.99 (roughly Rs. 1,12,450) for the 14-inch variant and $1,449.99 (roughly Rs. 1,20,778) for the 16-inch variant. The laptop is available in a single Sapphire colourway and will be available for purchase starting June 18.

The Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Edge, born out of a collaborative effort between Samsung and Microsoft, heralds the introduction of Copilot, Microsoft’s suite of AI services, onto the device. This unveiling occurred shortly after Microsoft revealed its latest AI PCs, the new Surface Pro (11th Edition) and Surface Laptop (7th Edition), at its Surface and AI event. The Galaxy Book 4 Edge boasts a Dynamic AMOLED 2X touchscreen display with a resolution of 2880×1800 pixels and a remarkable 120Hz refresh rate. Available in two sizes—14-inch and 16-inch, designated for the Edge and Edge Pro models respectively—the device is powered by a Snapdragon X Elite chipset, complemented by an Adreno GPU, a 12-core CPU, and a dedicated 45 TOPS Qualcomm Hexagon NPU. Both models support up to 16GB of RAM and offer storage options of up to 1TB. Functioning as a Copilot+ PC, the Galaxy Book 4 Edge incorporates AI features such as Live Captions, Circle to Search, Live Translate, Recall, and Cocreator. Users can elevate their video call experiences with portrait blur and voice focus effects, courtesy of Windows Studio. Connectivity options include USB 4.0 and HDMI 2.1 ports, alongside a backlit keyboard, 65W fast charging via USB Type-C, Bluetooth v5.4, and Wi-Fi 7 support.
