Get ready for a market shake-up with these 5 electric SUVs from Tata and Hyundai generating excitement.

New Delhi: This year promises great prospects for electric car buyers, as numerous popular SUV models are set to launch their electric counterparts. Notably, the midsize SUV segment will witness the electric versions of Tata Harrier and Hyundai Creta, while the sub-4 meter compact SUV segment will see the introduction of the electric variant of Mahindra XUV300 and the micro SUV segment will welcome Hyundai Exter’s electric model. Let’s dive into the details of these upcoming electric SUVs.

Hyundai Creta EV

The 2024 Hyundai Creta facelift was launched in India last month, which is tremendous in terms of look-design and features. Along with this, the news of the arrival of Creta’s electric avatar, i.e. Creta EV, also started circulating in Fija. Hyundai Creta EV is expected to be launched by the end of this year or early next year, which can have a range of up to 500 km on a single charge.

Hyundai Exter EV

Hyundai Motor India’s most affordable SUV Exter is expected to come in electric avatar in the coming time and will compete with the Tata Punch EV, which has been launched recently. The Exter EV can be launched in a single charge of 250 to 350 kilometers.

Tata Harrier EV

Tata Motors can launch the Harrier EV based on its active platform this year. The facelift model of the Tata Harrier was launched last year and the Harrier EV was showcased at the India Mobility Global Expo 2024 this month. It is believed that Tata Harrier EV can be offered with a single charge range of more than 500 kilometers.

Mahindra XUV300 EV

Mahindra & Mahindra’s popular sub-4m compact SUV XUV300 is all set to get a facelift in the coming months. It is believed that its electric avatar can also be launched in the festival season this year. The Mahindra XUV300 EV is expected to have a range of 300-450km on a single charge and will rival the Tata Nexon EV.

Honda Elevate EV

Honda Elevate EV will be coming to us in the next three years. We do believe that it could offer a competitive claimed range of around 400-450km with a battery compatible for DC fast charging. Honda might position it as a rival to the MG ZS EV, priced at around the Rs 20-lakh mark (ex-showroom).
