New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki’s Fronx compact SUV has zoomed into the record books, achieving a remarkable feat in the Indian automotive market. Since its launch in April 2023, the Fronx has raced past the 1 lakh sales mark in just 10 months, making it the fastest car ever to achieve this milestone in India.
This achievement is particularly impressive as the Fronx faces stiff competition from rivals like the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, and Kia Sonet in the fiercely competitive compact SUV segment.
The Fronx comes equipped with a range of engine options, including a 1.2-litre Dual-Jet Dual-VVT petrol engine and a 1.0-litre Turbo Boosterjet petrol engine. These engines offer a perfect blend of power and efficiency, catering to diverse driving preferences. Additionally, there’s even a CNG option available, catering to the growing demand for eco-friendly alternatives.
Maruti Suzuki’s focus on offering automatic variants has paid off handsomely, with automatic models contributing significantly to the Fronx’s sales volume, accounting for 24% of the total.
