MG Motor India’s Big Move: 7 New Cars in 2 Years!

New Delhi: MG Motor India is revving up its game in the Indian market! The company’s plan to introduce seven new car models over the next couple of years is making waves. Recently, they shared this exciting roadmap with dealers after joining forces with the JSW Group.

Here’s the scoop: MG Motor isn’t just bringing in the same old petrol cars. Nope, they’re diving into hybrids, like plug-in hybrids and electric vehicles (EVs). Plus, they’re sprucing up their current lineup, with the Gloster SUV set to get a makeover soon.

At a recent event in Shanghai, where dealers got a sneak peek, MG showed off some cool models lined up for India. The focus on eco-friendly rides seems to be their ace card. They flaunted the eHS plug-in hybrid SUV, Mifa9 electric MPV, MG4 electric hatchback, and the MG5 electric estate at the Auto Expo 2023.

This move isn’t just about cars; it’s about making a mark. MG’s team-up with JSW Group, which gives JSW a 35% stake, is a clear signal of their long-term commitment to India. They’re not just targeting one segment—they’re going all-in with various kinds of vehicles.

And it doesn’t stop there! They’re also supercharging their dealer network, planning to expand from 330 to 400 touchpoints across 270 cities by December 2023. MG Motor India is zooming into the future with a clear focus on greener, snazzier rides, aiming to meet the ever-evolving desires of Indian car enthusiasts.
