Tata Motors Introduces AMT in CNG Cars: Tiago and Tigor Now Available for Booking

New Delhi: Tata Motors has taken a significant step forward in the Indian automotive market by introducing automated manual transmission (AMT) in CNG cars for the first time. The company has opened bookings for the Tiago CNG AMT and the Tigor CNG AMT, with customers required to pay a token amount of Rs 21,000 to secure their bookings.

Key Points:

– The Tiago CNG AMT is available in three variants: XTA, XZA+, and XZA NRG, while the Tigor CNG AMT comes in two variants: XZA CNG and XZA+ CNG.

– These CNG cars from Tata Motors feature twin cylinders positioned in the boot area to maximize space utilization. They are equipped with a single advanced electronic control unit and have the capability to start directly in CNG mode.

– Both the Tiago and Tigor models are powered by the same 1.2-litre petrol engine, which delivers 86PS and 113Nm in petrol mode and 73.4PS and 95Nm in CNG mode. Customers now have the option to choose between 5-speed manual transmission and 5-speed AMT for both petrol and CNG variants.

– Tata Motors has also introduced new color options to enhance the appeal of these models, including Tornado Blue for the Tiago, Grassland Beige for the Tiago NRG, and Meteor Bronze for the Tigor.

– The availability of CNG options extends across four Tata Motors models, namely Tiago, Tigor, Altroz, and Punch, catering to diverse customer preferences and requirements.
