2023 G20 SUMMIT: LOGO AND THEME

The G20 emblem draws inspiration from India’s national flag, incorporating the lively hues of saffron, white, green, and blue. It ingeniously merges the depiction of the Earth with the lotus, India’s national flower, symbolizing growth amid challenges. The Earth mirrors India’s eco-conscious approach, existing in perfect unity with the natural world. Below the G20 emblem, the term “Bharat” is inscribed in the Devanagari script. India’s G20 Presidency theme, “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” or “One Earth · One Family · One Future,” is rooted in the ancient Sanskrit text, Maha Upanishad. Essentially, this theme underscores the intrinsic worth of all life forms – humans, animals, plants, and microorganisms – along with their interconnection on Earth and in the broader universe. The theme also spotlights the concept of Lifestyle for Environment, accentuating environmentally sustainable and responsible choices. These choices hold relevance not only at an individual level but also in the context of national development. They converge into globally impactful actions that lay the foundation for a more pristine, verdant, and environmentally conscientious future.
