Mumbai Crime Branch Arrests Rajasthan Man for Threatening Salman Khan
New Delhi: The recent firing incident outside Salman Khan’s residence in Mumbai has taken a new turn as the Mumbai Crime Branch has apprehended a 25-year-old man from Rajasthan. Identified as Banwarilal Laturlal Gujar from Bundi, Rajasthan, he was arrested for allegedly issuing death threats to the actor through a video posted on YouTube.
The video, shared on the channel ‘Aare Chhodo Yaar’, purportedly linked to Goldy Brar, featured Gujar threatening Salman Khan. The arrest followed a complaint lodged regarding the video’s content, which reportedly included statements demanding an apology from Salman Khan to the Bishnoi community.
In the video transcript provided by the police, Gujar addressed his “brothers” and emphasized their collective intentions and grievances towards the actor. He expressed dissatisfaction with Salman Khan’s perceived attitude and ego, referring to him as “Dabangg King Khan”. The video also hinted at a plan in motion and proclaimed readiness to confront any challenges posed by the actor’s security measures.
Gujar’s arrest underscores the swift action taken by authorities in response to threats made against public figures. He remains in police custody until June 18, pending further investigation into the incident.
