ICC ODI Cricket World Cup 2023 warm-up matches.

Delhi: Scheduled from October 5 to November 19, the 2023 ODI Cricket World Cup is on the horizon, marking India’s fourth time as the host since the tournament’s inception. But preceding the main event, participating teams will engage in several warm-up matches to gear up. From September 29 to October 3, a series of warm-up matches will unfold in three Indian cities. Hyderabad, Thiruvananthapuram, and Guwahati are designated as the venues for these official warm-up games, which will be accessible to the public. Similar to past ICC Cricket World Cup occurrences, the warm-up matches will follow a 50 overs per side format.

However, these matches won’t hold ODI status, and teams will have the liberty to include all members of their 15-player squad in these games. Commencing on October 5, the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 kicks off with a match between defending champions England and New Zealand in Ahmedabad. The final of the tournament is also slated to take place in Ahmedabad on November 19.
