Delhi:  India cruised to a record 228-run win over rival Pakistan on Monday and collected crucial points in the Super Four stage of the Asia Cup.

Having set a target of 357, India bowled out Pakistan for 128 runs, its third-lowest total against India. It was India’s biggest margin of victory — by runs — over its neighbour.

Virat Kohli’s supreme fitness was evident in his 47th ODI century while comeback man KL Rahul produced an equally engaging ton on comeback, India completed 356/2 in 50 overs  Pakistan then started the chase on a slow note with Jasprit Bumrah striking early. Hardik Pandya then removed Babar Azam before Kuldeep Yadav joined the party. The spinner claimed five wickets in the eight overs he bowled as Pakistan could only muster 128 runs before losing eight wickets. Haris Rauf, who didn’t bowl, and Naseem Shah, who left the field during the closing stages on the Indian innings didn’t walk out to bat,
