New Zealand squad announced for World Cup:

Delhi: Kane Williamson will lead New Zealand at next month’s one-day Cricket World Cup, and Trent Boult will spearhead the pace attack, but opener Finn Allen and fast bowler Adam Milne have missed out on the squad for India. New Zealand has included young players along with experienced players in the squad for the World Cup. Boult recently bowled brilliantly against England. In the second match of the ODI series, he took 3 wickets for 17 runs in 7 overs. However, the New Zealand team could not win this match. Along with this, Devon Conway has been given a chance by the New Zealand team for the World Cup. Conway played 20 ODIs for New Zealand during which he scored 858 runs. Also, he has scored 4 centuries and 3 fifties during this period. His best ODI score is 138. Also, Chapman has played 12 ODIs. During this he has scored 2 centuries.All-rounders include seamer Jimmy Neesham and spinners Mitchell Santner and Rachin Ravindra. Mitchell and Chapman can also fill in.Santner is also be expected to lead the spin attack along with Ish Sodhi. The pace attack – Boult, Southee, Matt Henry, Lockie Ferguson – looks formidable even in the absence of Adam Milne, who is suffering from a hamstring injury.New Zealand finished runners-up in both the 2015 and 2019 editions, their best performance at the men’s World Cup. While Australia won a one-sided final in 2015, England’s win in 2019 was “by the bargest of margins” – on boundary count after the teams were tied even after the Super Over. New Zealand squad for World Cup 2023: Kane Williamson (captain), Trent Boult, Mark Chapman, Devon Conway, Lockie Ferguson, Matt Henry, Tom Latham, Daryl Mitchell, Jimmy Neesham, Glenn Phillips, Rachin Ravindra, Mitch Santner, Ish Sodhi, Tim Southee and Will Young.
