Enhanced Digital ANC
Reports indicate that the AirPods Pro 3 will feature advanced Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), described as “digital ANC.” This upgrade suggests that Apple is focusing on software enhancements and advanced audio processing rather than altering the physical design. The current AirPods Pro 2 already offers “up to twice as much” ANC compared to the original model, so the AirPods Pro 3 is expected to take this technology even further.
Potential Release Timeline
While leaks from reliable sources like Kosutami suggest an imminent release, the timeline for the AirPods Pro 3 remains uncertain. Although rumors have circulated about an early launch, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has hinted at a 2025 release, potentially with new health features, an updated audio chip, and more.
Upcoming AirPods and iPhone 16 Series
Apple is also rumored to refresh the rest of its AirPods lineup at the September 9 event. The new AirPods 4 models are expected to feature a revised design, enhanced sound quality, and a USB-C charging case. Additionally, the AirPods Max may receive a minor update, replacing the Lightning connector with a USB-C port.
The event will also showcase the iPhone 16 series, including the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. These devices are anticipated to feature new functionalities, such as the Capture button, the Action button on all four models, A18 chips, and better battery life.
