New Delhi: Apple is gearing up to launch new products in 2024, with the iPhone 16 series being just one part of the lineup. Among the exciting releases is the new Mac Mini, which will be powered by the M4 chip, focusing heavily on AI capabilities.

Compact Design and AI Focus

According to reports, the upcoming Mac Mini will be smallest desktop computer yet, featuring its first major design change since 2010. The new model will be significantly more compact, with a size comparable to the Apple TV streaming device, which is about 3.7 inches across. Despite its smaller footprint, the Mac Mini will be slightly taller than the current version, which stands at 1.4 inches high.

First for Apple: Unified Chip Generation

In a significant move, M4 chip will be used across all its Mac products, marking the first time the same chip generation will be used universally. The M4 chipset is specifically designed to support advanced AI features, making the Mac Mini a powerhouse in a small package.

Aluminum Shell and Design Approach

The new Mac Mini will feature an aluminum shell and is described as being essentially an iPad Pro in a compact box. This design leverages the lower power requirements of Apple’s in-house silicon, allowing for a more compact and efficient device.

Pricing and Release Details

Currently, the existing Mac Mini is priced at $599. Although the new version may be more cost-effective to produce, it’s unclear whether Apple will adjust the pricing. The Mac Mini is expected to launch alongside the iPhone 16 series and iOS 18, adding to the excitement for the fans.

What’s Next?

The company has a series of new Mac releases lined up, starting with the updated Mac Mini. Later in 2024, we can expect M4 chip-powered iMacs and MacBook Pros, followed by MacBook Airs in the spring, and revamped Mac Pro and Mac Studio models in mid-2025.

Stay tuned for more updates as it continues to innovate with its new lineup!
