Exciting News! Gmail’s New Voice Feature Lets You Draft Emails Easily

New Delhi: Gmail is about to make our email experience even more effortless with its upcoming AI-backed feature, “Draft email with voice.” This cool addition allows users to simply speak their emails, and Gmail will do the drafting for them.

Earlier, Google had introduced the “Help me Write” feature, unveiled at the I/O 2023 event. It used text prompts to create a draft in seconds, thanks to Google’s advanced machine learning algorithms. Users loved it, but now, Gmail is taking it a step further.

With the ‘Draft email with voice’ feature, users can tell Gmail what kind of email they want to write using their voice. Imagine just talking to your phone, and your email is magically drafted! A recent report from TheSpAndroid mentioned that a voice typing interface with a big microphone button will pop up when you start a new email or reply. Simply tap the mic, speak your email, hit ‘Create,’ and Gmail’s AI takes care of the rest.

Although there is no specific release date for this feature on the official Gmail version, the buzz started in October 2023, giving us something exciting to look forward to.

In addition to this, Gmail is also making it easier to manage unwanted emails. Now, on both mobile and web versions, Gmail separates the “Report spam & unsubscribe” option into two distinct choices – “Report spam” and “Unsubscribe.” This improvement aims to reduce the frustration of dealing with unwanted emails and offers a more user-friendly experience.

So, get ready for an upgraded Gmail experience with these fantastic new features! Stay tuned for more updates on when ‘Draft email with voice’ makes its debut on your favourite email platform.
