New Delhi: Instagram has introduced an exciting new feature that allows users to add a 30-second song to their profile bios. Previously, music could only be added to posts, but now, users can showcase their musical taste directly on their profiles. However, the song won’t autoplay when someone visits your profile—you’ll need to click on it to listen.

How to Add Music to Your Profile

To add a song to your profile, head to the “Edit Profile” section. From there, you can search licensed music library (the same one used for Reels and posts) to find the perfect track. Once you’ve selected a song, you can choose a 30-second segment to feature on your profile. The selected song will appear in a new category called “Taste” within your bio. The song will stay on your profile until you decide to change or remove it.

Collaboration with Sabrina Carpenter

To promote this new feature, Instagram has teamed up with singer Sabrina Carpenter. As part of the collaboration, Carpenter’s Instagram profile will feature a sneak peek of an unreleased track from her upcoming album, which launches on Friday. This collaboration gives fans an exclusive first listen to her new music directly through her profile.

New Colors for Instagram Notes

In addition to the profile music feature, Instagram has also added a new color option to its Notes feature. Specific words like “Demure,” “Cutesy,” “Considerate,” and “Mindful” trigger a color shift in Notes, changing them to a pink hue. However, the saturation is low, so the color may appear more off-white depending on your screen quality.

Previously, The briefly offered gold-colored Notes, but this feature was removed. Now, the pink color option is available, adding a touch of personalization to your Instagram Notes.

This update is part of the company’s ongoing effort to enhance user experience by offering more ways to customize profiles and interact with followers. So, if you’re looking to add a personal touch to your profile, check out the new music feature today.
