Moto X50 Ultra Teaser: Enhanced Design, Advanced AI Features
New Delhi: Motorola has teased the forthcoming Moto X50 Ultra once again, suggesting it will introduce several new generative artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities compared to the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra. The smartphone was first mentioned back in February on Weibo and has resurfaced in a recent video, coinciding with China’s F1 Grand Prix event. While initial expectations hinted at a potential reveal during or after the event, the unveiling did not occur, with reports now pointing to a possible launch in May.
In two Weibo posts dated April 20, Motorola shared an image of the Moto X50 Ultra alongside an F1 Grand Prix event poster, emphasizing speed and passion. The smartphone is being positioned as an “AI phone,” marking a significant shift for Motorola, particularly after the Edge 50 Ultra’s recent debut, which also incorporates AI features like wallpaper generation and camera enhancements. Despite sharing a design similar to the Edge 50 Ultra, the Moto X50 Ultra may introduce internal enhancements.
The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra, unveiled globally last week, boasts a 6.7-inch pOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 2,500 nits peak brightness. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, it offers up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. Its triple rear camera setup includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor with OIS, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 64-megapixel telephoto shooter.
Motorola’s emphasis on generative AI suggests the Moto X50 Ultra will expand on these capabilities, potentially incorporating advanced AI-driven features and hardware, making it a notable addition to the brand’s smartphone lineup.
