Nissan Magnite Achieves Remarkable Sales Milestone: 30,146 Units Sold in FY2023-24

New Delhi: The Nissan Magnite compact SUV continues to make waves in the automotive market, as it achieves yet another milestone by selling over 30,000 units for the third consecutive year. Adding to this feat, the Japanese automaker proudly announced that the Magnite surpassed the 1,00,000 sales mark in the domestic market in January this year.

In the fiscal year 2023-24, Nissan recorded sales of 30,146 units of the Magnite in India. Although slightly lower than the 32,546 units sold in the previous fiscal year, and the record-breaking 33,905 units sold in FY2021-22, this achievement underscores the enduring popularity of the compact SUV.

Moreover, Nissan has also expanded its reach globally, exporting over 30,000 units of the Magnite to various international markets since its launch in December 2020. Countries like Indonesia, South Africa, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Uganda have welcomed the Magnite, further solidifying its position as a formidable player in the compact SUV segment.

Notably, the Magnite stands as the sole offering from Nissan in India and has played a pivotal role in revitalizing the brand’s presence in the country. Priced competitively starting from Rs 6 lakh (ex-showroom), it shares the title of the most affordable SUV in India alongside its sibling, the Renault Kiger. The Magnite is available with two engine options: a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine producing 72hp, and a turbocharged 1.0-litre, three-cylinder unit generating 100hp.

Looking ahead, Nissan is gearing up for the launch of the Magnite facelift, anticipated to hit the Indian market later this year. Recent sightings of camouflaged test mules suggest that the SUV is in its final stages of development. The refresh is expected to bring visual updates, new features, and enhanced safety technologies, positioning the Magnite to compete against formidable rivals such as the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Maruti Brezza, and the upcoming Mahindra XUV 3XO, among others in its segment.
