Oppo Unveils F27 Pro+ 5G: India’s First Damage-Proof Smartphone with IP69 Rating
New Delhi: On Thursday, Oppo launched the F27 Pro+ 5G, India’s first smartphone with an IP69 rating, making it highly resistant to damage. The device features a 360-degree Armour Body, which offers protection from drops and scratches. The Oppo F27 Pro+ is available in two colors – Dusk Pink and Midnight Navy – and comes in two storage options: 128GB and 256GB. Prices start at Rs 27,999. The standout feature of the Oppo F27 Pro+ is its IP69 rating, making it waterproof and capable of withstanding high pressure and extreme temperatures. The phone can survive up to 30 minutes underwater and is also rated for IP66 and IP68. Additionally, Oppo is offering six months of free accidental and liquid damage protection.
The F27 Pro+ has a durable design, using materials like sponges to enhance drop resistance and high-thermal conductivity aluminum alloy to protect the mainboard. Despite its rugged build, the phone weighs only 177g and features a high-quality vegan leather back panel with a camera island inspired by the cosmos ring.
The phone sports a 6.7-inch 3D curved display with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and a 93% screen-to-body ratio. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC, paired with 8GB of RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. The F27 Pro+ features a 64 MP primary camera, a 2 MP depth sensor, and an 8 MP selfie camera. It runs on Android 14-based ColorOS 14 and comes with four years of software updates.
The device is equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging. Oppo claims the battery will retain 80% capacity even after four years of regular use.
