Samsung Galaxy S24 FE Rumored for Later This Year
New Delhi: Samsung is reportedly developing the Galaxy S24 FE, a variant of its flagship series, following the launch of the Galaxy S24 lineup earlier this year. Originally speculated for a summer release as a more accessible version of the Galaxy S24, recent reports suggest a delay in its launch. According to a Dutch outlet, the upcoming device is codenamed R12, aligning with Samsung’s previous Fan Edition models like the Galaxy S23 FE (R11) and Galaxy S21 FE (R9).
Previously anticipated for a summer debut, the Galaxy S24 FE’s launch has been postponed due to ongoing development. Instead, sources now indicate a release toward the end of 2024 or early 2025. This timeframe mirrors the Galaxy S23 FE’s schedule, which was unveiled in October 2023 and expanded to multiple markets by early 2024.
Details about the Galaxy S24 FE remain scarce from reputable sources, but it’s expected to feature a 6.1-inch AMOLED display and be powered by the Exynos 2400 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, depending on the region. The device is likely to offer 12GB LPDDR5X RAM with storage options of 128GB or 256GB UFS 3.1. A 4,500mAh battery is anticipated to power the device.
The Galaxy S23 FE was introduced in India with a starting price of Rs. 59,999 for the base variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.
