Tata Altroz Racer Set to Hit the Roads Soon
New Delhi: Tata Motors’ Altroz Racer, which is tipped to be the sportiest version of the Altroz hatchback, is getting ready for its launch in the coming weeks. Unveiled at last year’s Auto Expo and making a spectacular appearance at this year’s India Mobility Show, the Altroz Racer promises an exciting driving experience with exciting new features.
Top-spec variant with advanced performance
Positioned as the new top-spec variant in the Altroz lineup, the Racer Edition is equipped with a powerful 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, producing an impressive output of 120 horsepower and 170 Nm of torque. This turbocharged powertrain is similar to the one featured in the Altroz iTurbo, claiming a performance upgrade of 10hp and 30Nm compared to its counterpart. With a 6-speed manual gearbox, the Altroz Racer promises a dynamic driving experience that rivals competitors like the i20 N Line.
External and internal Enhancements
The Altroz Racer gets several exterior updates, including an attractive dual-tone paint scheme, complemented by twin racing stripes on the bonnet and roof. Notable additions include distinctive ‘Racer’ badging, a revised grille and stylish 16-inch alloy wheels, which add to its sporty appeal.
Inside the cabin, the Altroz Racer enhances the driving experience with a large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which offers seamless connectivity and entertainment options. Additionally, segment-first features like ventilated front seats, 360-degree camera, head-up display and voice-assisted sunroof are set to redefine comfort and convenience standards. Leatherette upholstery with contrast stitching and colorful accents on the dashboard adds a touch of sophistication to the interior ambiance.
Security and Pricing
With a paramount focus on safety, the Altroz Racer lineup features six airbags and Electronic Stability Control (ESC) as standard, ensuring uncompromising safety for the occupants.
While the introduction of these enhancements heralds an exciting era for the Altroz lineup, potential buyers can expect a slight increase in pricing. Competing in the turbo-petrol segment, the Altroz Racer is set to challenge rivals like the Maruti Suzuki Swift, offering a compelling blend of performance, style and advanced features.
As anticipation grows for its imminent arrival, the Tata Altroz Racer promises to enthrall enthusiasts with its sporty demeanor and exhilarating performance on the open road.
