The Buzz Around Vivo X100 Series Launch in India

New Delhi: Vivo’s new flagship phones, the Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro, are gearing up for their grand debut in India on January 4, hitting the market the same day as the Redmi Note 13 5G series.

What do we know about these smartphones already? Well, they’ve already made waves in China back in November and had a global launch in December 2023. Now, they’re ready to make a splash in India, and we’ve got the inside scoop on what to anticipate.

Price Expectations:

Leaked information from last year hinted at possible prices. The Vivo X100 might start at Rs 63,999 for the 12 GB RAM and 256 GB model, and Rs 69,999 for the higher-end 16 GB RAM and 512 GB version. Meanwhile, the Vivo X100 Pro is rumored to be priced at Rs 89,999 for the sole 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage option.

But hold on, these prices might just be the tip of the iceberg as they represent costs for retailers. The actual retail price might be higher with added profit margins.

Specifications and Features:

Under the hood, both the Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro will run on the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipset. However, they differ in RAM and storage configurations. The X100 is expected to offer 12GB RAM with 256GB storage or 16GB RAM with 512GB storage. Meanwhile, the X100 Pro might only come in a single variant with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage.

The displays are expected to be impressive with a 6.78-inch screen and an 8T LTPO AMOLED display boasting a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and a brightness of 3,000 nits.

Camera-wise, both phones will sport a triple-camera setup, with slight variations between the two models. The X100 Pro will feature a 50MP primary camera, a periscope 100 mm zoom lens, and a 50MP ultrawide lens, powered by Vivo’s custom 6nm V3 imaging chip. On the other hand, the X100 will house a 50MP wide-angle lens, a 70mm zoom lens with a 64MP sensor, and a 15mm ultrawide lens, powered by the V2 imaging chip from the X90 Pro. For selfies, both phones will pack a 32 MP front camera.

Battery capacity differs slightly, with the X100 having a 5,000 mAh battery and the X100 Pro a 5,400 mAh one. The X100 supports up to 120 W fast charging, while the X100 Pro offers 100 W fast charging capabilities.

With these powerful specs and promising features, the Vivo X100 series is all set to make a mark in the Indian smartphone market.
