WhatsApp announces short video messages feature on Android, IOS:

Delhi: Meta has launched a new WhatsApp feature that allows users to send and receive short video messages in their chats, adding more emotion and personality to the messaging experience.

Instant video messages are similar to voice messages, but with video. The recording process is also similar to voice messages. Users can tap the icon to the right of the text field to switch to video mode and share up to 60 seconds of video with their contacts. They can also swipe up to lock and record the video hands-free.

Even with the feature turned off, users can still receive video messages. This update will be available to more users in the coming days and enhances WhatsApp’s existing video messaging capabilities, allowing users to send short, end-to-end encrypted video messages of up to 60 seconds.
