India beat Australia in first one-day international leads three-match series 1-0.

Delhi: India defeated Australia by 5 wickets on Friday to lead the series with 1-0. After good bowling, Indian openers Shubman Gill (74) and Ruturaj Gaikwad (71) provided the team with good start. Adam Zampa tried to bring Australia back in the game but KL Rahul (58) and Suryakumar Yadav (50) led the team to victory. It was Mohammed Shami’s 5 for 51 that helped India bowl out Australia for 276 runs after captain KL Rahul won the toss and opted to bowl first. The victory helped India go top of ICC Men’s ODI Rankings replacing Pakistan. India is now the number one team across all the three formats – ODI, T20I and Test cricket
