New Delhi: The Tecno Camon 30 series made its debut in Nigeria on Wednesday, April 3. This lineup includes the Tecno Camon 30 Pro 5G, Camon 30 5G, and the standard Camon 30 models. Initially revealed in February at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024, these smartphones are powered by MediaTek chipsets and feature 5,000mAh batteries with up to 70W wired fast charging support. Additionally, they come equipped with stereo speakers featuring Dolby Atmos support. While their availability in India remains unconfirmed, they mark a significant addition to Tecno’s smartphone offerings.

The 8GB + 256GB variant of the standard Tecno Camon 30 is priced at NGN 2,73,000 (approximately Rs. 17,100), while the 12GB + 256GB option comes in at NGN 3,21,500 (roughly Rs. 20,200). These models are offered in Iceland Basaltic Dark, Sahara Sand Brown, and Uyuni Salt White color options.
On the other hand, the Tecno Camon 30 5G is listed at NGN 4,52,000 (approximately Rs. 28,400), while the Tecno Camon 30 Pro 5G is priced at NGN 5,38,000 (around Rs. 33,800). The former is available in Emerald Lake Green, Iceland Basaltic Dark, and Uyuni Salt White, while the Pro model comes in Iceland Basaltic Dark and Alps Snowy Silver color variants.

The Tecno Camon 30 Pro 5G features a 6.78-inch full-HD+ (2,436 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display with an impressive 144Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chipset coupled with 12GB of RAM and a capacious 512GB of internal storage. Running on Android 14-based HiOS 14, it promises a smooth and efficient user experience.
In terms of photography, the Tecno Camon Pro 5G boasts a robust camera setup. It includes a 1/1.56-inch 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) support, accompanied by a 50-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor at the rear, along with dual rear flash units. On the front, there’s a 50-megapixel sensor with autofocus, ensuring stunning selfie captures.
Keeping the device powered throughout the day is a substantial 5,000mAh battery, which supports rapid 70W fast charging via a USB Type-C port. Additionally, it comes with the convenience of an in-display fingerprint sensor, offering seamless security and ease of access.

The Tecno Camon 30 5G and Camon 30 4G variants feature similar display panels to the Pro model, but with a maximum refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The 5G model is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7020 SoC, while the 4G option runs on a MediaTek Helio G99 chipset. These phones share identical operating systems, battery capacities, and front camera specifications with the Tecno Camon 30 Pro 5G.
In terms of the camera setup, both the Camon 30 5G and Camon 30 sport dual rear camera units consisting of a 50-megapixel primary sensor paired with a 2-megapixel depth sensor, complemented by dual rear flash units. The 5G model supports rapid 70W fast charging, whereas the 4G variant supports 45W wired fast charging. Additionally, both handsets feature in-display fingerprint scanners for enhanced security.
