New Delhi: Latha Rajinikanth, wife of Tamil superstar Rajinikanth, recently addressed allegations linked to the movie ‘Kochadaiiyaan,’ following her bail grant in a Bengaluru court. Accused in a case involving a loan of ₹10 crore to a film producer, Latha clarified her role as a guarantor, stating she had no involvement post the settlement.

Describing the situation as a “price of being celebrities,” Latha expressed her distress over what she perceived as humiliation and harassment. She emphasized the case’s lack of fraudulent intent on her part.

The dispute arose from claims made by Chennai-based Ad Bureau Advertising Pvt Ltd, alleging discrepancies in agreements. Latha contested these allegations, highlighting efforts to disprove connections through forensic reports.

Despite the Supreme Court’s directive relieving her from mandatory appearances, Latha complied with the Bengaluru court summons, aiming to present her side of the story.

Granted conditional bail, she furnished a bond of ₹1 lakh and ₹25,000 in cash during the hearing. Latha remains steadfast in her stance, hoping for the truth to prevail amidst what she views as a tumultuous ordeal. The case, originating from financial dealings, has garnered significant attention due to the involvement of a public figure. Latha’s assertions of innocence amidst the legal tussle reveal the complexities that come with the limelight, shedding light on the challenges faced by celebrities in such circumstances.
