Buyers of Spring View Heights appealed to the Ghaziabad administration to remove barriers of seal on the project
New Delhi: The anger of the flat buyers came out openly on Sunday, 29th October. The buyers, who have been worried about their flats for the last ten years, after organising meeting and then, started demonstration, and finally appealed to the local district administration to find a solution to their helplessness and demanded removal of the seal on the stalled project.
The matter pertains to the entire Spring View Heights project, which is located in Lal Kuan area of Ghaziabad. According to the buyer, this project was started in 2012, in which more than 600 flats were to be built, the location of this project was nice, so present buyers decided to buy a flat for themselves by investing their entire life’s savings and booked the flat. But the builder ran away leaving the incomplete project in 2016. After that In 2019, all the buyers together formed Spring View Heights Buyers Association, and took their complaint to RERA, after which one of the promoters of the project took permission from RERA and even got extension twice, started the construction work, but till yet as per the demonstrating buyers, out of 6 towers only 2 of the towers has been completed and that too only 85% work has been done, and the remaining towers are still not completed.
Buyers further stated that out of current 500 buyers, only five-six people wanted refund and those buyers had filed a COC in Allahabad High Court leading this work on this project was completely stopped and even got sealed. Furthermore, The Escrow accounts in the bank in which the buyers’ construction money was deposited were also sealed.
With the dream of owning a house, many senior citizens are among the flat buyers, who have not only invested their entire life’s savings but also took a huge loan amount from the banks, now their problems and worries have increased a lot. And are facing traumatic situation due to their helplessness. It is hoped that the administration will take notice of these flat buyers and will soon take positive steps so that the buyers can get relief soon.
