PRESIDENT OF INDIA HOSTS CROWN PRINCE AND PRIME MINISTER OF THE KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA.
Delhi: On September 11, 2023, the President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu welcomed His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Rashtrapati Bhavan. During his visit, a banquet was hosted in his honor. In her welcoming remarks at Rashtrapati Bhavan, President Murmu emphasized the significance of Saudi Arabia as one of India’s key strategic partners. She expressed her satisfaction with the notable strengthening of bilateral relations between India and Saudi Arabia in recent years.
President Murmu highlighted that in the contemporary world, India and Saudi Arabia share common cultural experiences, economic synergies, and a mutual commitment to fostering a peaceful and sustainable global environment, making them natural partners. Regarding the economic aspect of the India-Saudi Arabia partnership, the President noted its growth in recent years and pointed out the numerous opportunities for increased Saudi investments in various sectors within India. She also acknowledged Saudi Arabia’s embrace of a substantial number of Indian expatriates, providing them with opportunities to prosper and contribute to the growth and prosperity of Saudi Arabia through their hard work and professionalism. President Murmu expressed gratitude to Saudi Arabia for its support in this regard.
Furthermore, the President commended Saudi Arabia for its constructive role in promoting peace and stability. She expressed confidence that the Crown Prince’s visit and his participation in the G20 Summit would further enhance the multifaceted partnership between India and Saudi Arabia.
