Kia EV6 facelift:
The EV6 facelift introduces several notable updates, enhancing both its exterior and interior design, as well as its mechanical capabilities. Starting with the exterior, the EV6 now features a refreshed front-end design, replacing the conventional headlamp setup with angular LED daytime running lamps. The front bumper and lower grille have also been redesigned to complement these changes, providing a more modern and cohesive look. The EV6 also boasts new alloy wheels, available in 19- or 20-inch sizes depending on the variant and market. Rear design modifications are minimal, with slight re-profiling of the tail-lamps and bumper. Inside, the EV6 facelift offers a more advanced and sophisticated environment. A curved panoramic screen integrates the digital instrument cluster and the infotainment display, enhancing the vehicle’s high-tech feel. The two-spoke steering wheel is now equipped with a fingerprint reader, allowing registered drivers to start the car without a key. Over-the-air updates are available for various features, including major electronic controls, ensuring the vehicle remains up-to-date with the latest technology. The facelift also includes a digital rear-view mirror, an improved head-up display, and an AI-based navigation system similar to those found in newer Genesis models. This navigation system utilizes the front camera and graphic overlays to provide a more intuitive driving experience. Mechanically, the EV6 facelift features Hyundai Motor Group’s latest 84 kWh battery, replacing the previous 77.4 kWh pack. This upgrade increases the range for the EV6 RWD with 19-inch wheels to approximately 494km, up from the previous 475km, based on the Korean market test cycle. The new battery supports 350kW DC fast charging, enabling a charge from 10 percent to 80 percent in just 18 minutes. Performance-wise, the EV6 RWD variant is powered by a motor producing 225hp and 350Nm of torque. The dual-motor variants deliver a combined output of 320hp and 605Nm of torque. Additionally, the EV6 facelift is equipped with frequency-selective dampers, which enhance ride comfort by adjusting the damping force according to the road conditions. Overall, the EV6 facelift combines aesthetic enhancements, advanced technological features, and improved mechanical specifications to deliver a more refined and capable electric vehicle.
