New Delhi: Chandigarh golfer Akshay Sharma showcased his exceptional skills by building a two-shot lead in the second round of the Rs 1 crore Coimbatore Open, held at the Coimbatore Golf Club on Thursday. Sharma delivered a flawless seven-under 65, propelling him to the top of the leaderboard with a total score of 10-under 134 for the tournament.

Akshay’s consistent performance began with a solid 69 in the first round, setting the stage for his remarkable round two. His precision and control on the course were evident as he navigated the challenges of the Coimbatore Golf Club with ease, avoiding any errors and capitalizing on scoring opportunities. Trailing Akshay Sharma by two shots was Gurugram’s Manu Gandas, who also impressed with a bogey-free 65 in the second round.
