MG Motor India join hands with Prestige Group

Bangalore: MG Motor India, a British automobile brand with a 99-year-old legacy, today announced its collaboration with Prestige Group, a prominent real estate developer in India. This collaboration aims to establish 100 electric vehicle (EV) chargers across the major properties owned by Prestige Group in Bangalore. The association reinforces MG’s dedication towards setting up a strong charging infrastructure as part of the ‘MG Charge’ initiative.
MG Motor India’s objective is to boost sustainable mobility by launching the MG Comet EV and MG ZSEV models in partnership with Prestige Group.This collaboration underscores their shared commitment to sustainable progress and the improvement of electric vehicle charging infrastructure across the country. Prestige Group’s management and employees will utilize these cars for their daily commute, enjoying a convenient and eco-friendly transportation option while experiencing the advantages of electric mobility.
Under the ‘MG Charge’ initiative, MG Motor India plans to install 1,000 EV SMART chargers across India to support the country’s EV charging infrastructure and accelerate the adoption of electric mobility nationwide. The new SMART chargers introduced by MG will be in the Type 2 format, capable of accommodating a wide range of current and upcoming electric vehicle models. This endeavor will play a significant role in facilitating the widespread acceptance and utilization of electric vehicles.
Commenting on the partnership, Mr. Gaurav Gupta, Deputy Managing Director, MG Motor India, stated, ” At MG, we firmly believe that installing EV chargers is about leading the charge towards sustainability and innovation.
