7 Lakh Strong! Tata Nexon Celebrates Milestone with Up to ₹1 Lakh Discounts
New Delhi: Tata Motors is celebrating a significant milestone as the Nexon SUV surpasses a staggering 700,000 units sold in India. Launched in 2017, the Nexon has achieved this impressive feat within just seven years, solidifying its position as a dominant player in the Indian SUV market.
To mark this achievement, Tata Motors is offering attractive benefits of up to ₹1 lakh on the Nexon (depending on the variant). This sales milestone further emphasizes the Nexon’s dominance and presents an excellent opportunity for potential buyers to acquire this popular SUV at an even more attractive price point.
Dominating the SUV Market
The Nexon has consistently outsold popular competitors like the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Mahindra Scorpio for the past three fiscal years. In FY24, FY23, and FY22, it recorded impressive sales figures of 171,697, 172,139, and 124,130 units, respectively.
However, the Nexon’s performance dipped slightly in April and May 2024, falling just outside the top 10 best-selling cars in India, landing at the 11th position for both months.
Engine and Powertrain Options
The Nexon caters to diverse customer preferences by offering both internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric vehicle (EV) variants.
- ICE Options: The ICE variant provides a choice between a 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine (120PS and 170Nm) and a 1.5-liter diesel engine (115PS and 260Nm). The petrol engine comes with a variety of transmission options, including 5-speed MT, 6-speed MT, 6-speed AMT, and 7-speed DCA, while the diesel engine offers 6-speed MT and 6-speed AMT choices.
- EV Options: The Nexon EV offers two battery pack options: a Medium Range (MR) with a 129PS/215Nm PMSM motor and a 30kWh battery pack, and a Long Range (LR) with a 145PS/215Nm PMSM motor and a 40.5kWh battery pack. The claimed range for the MR version is 325km, while the LR version boasts a commendable 465km.
Safety First
Both the ICE and EV versions of the Nexon prioritize safety with their impressive five-star safety ratings. The Nexon ICE has earned a five-star rating at Global NCAP, while the Nexon EV has achieved a five-star rating at Bharat NCAP.
Price Range
The Tata Nexon caters to a range of budgets, with the ICE variant starting at Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom) and reaching up to Rs 15.80 lakh (ex-showroom) depending on the variant. The EV variant starts at a higher price point, ranging from Rs 14.49 lakh to Rs 19.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

While the exact details of the offer may vary depending on the chosen variant and dealership, potential buyers can expect significant savings of up to ₹1 lakh on the purchase of a Nexon.
